The end times are coming, Satan’s span is on earth, an angel and demon have been dispatched from their respective sides to oversee it, and a witch accurately predicted the whole thing.
It is a funny book, forced in a few places, but overall good. Pretty fast read for me. I picked it up because I’m interested in the upcoming Netflix series based on it, which I believe will be accurate to the book because Gaiman was heavily involved.
I’ll probably recommend this book to a few friends, but I probably won’t reread it, and certainly not to the point where it is falling apart like the authors brag about in the interviews at the end. (Side note: I have yet to be completely taken with any “cult classic” that I’ve read. I’d love to find one that I fall in love with, but perhaps I’m just not a rereader.)
