This was a fun road trip listen. I picked it up because I loved A Mind at Play last year and this book is about scientific gambling and investing, which Claude Shannon dabbled with later in life. AMaP only dedicated a few pages to this, but I wanted to know more. So when I saw this book, I had to listen to it!

The book wasn’t exactly what I wanted, which was more Claude Shannon. He was definitely in the book, but it was primarily about scientific betting. Still interesting, but not a perfect alignment with my interests like AMaP.

Would have been better as a physical book than audio because of all the math. I chose poorly.
